New Trusted Reviewer Proposal.

Hey guys, this is just a method of selecting TRs amongst us members to increase the numbers. It is not designed to alienate those reviewers that do not frequent these boards. They are of course entitled to become TRs as well, but maybe using Rics current methods. I am just pointing out that we have a large number of what I consider to be eligible TRs right here on these forums. It is not the intention of this little campaign to take over from or to abolish existing methods. It is to compliment same.

James, I appreciate the fact that you have given the review system a lot of thought and I accept that improvement is needed and there should, at this stage, be a lot more Trusted Reviewers.

I don’t know why there isn’t, except that the current criteria of references etc might inhibit a lot of people. I don’t know if I would want to go asking for references from Escorts, just so I could have a TR badge.

I can think of several regular posters who have quite a few reviews, but still don’t have their ‘badge’ – Debest and Dave1Dave among them.

I do not like the idea of restricting the badge to ‘active’ members, as there are other members who have no interest in the forums but have taken the trouble to register and post a lot more reviews than I have. I don’t see why I should be trusted any more than them, but if there is a consistency and solid foundation to their reviews, it shouldn’t matter if they never post on the board.

RicFlair is the main man for issuing the TR status, and he does great work on the Escort of the Month competition. Maybe a nomination system from established members for all reviewers, regardless of whether they are active posters, could be set up – e.g. ‘Layercake’ has a lot of reviews, but I don’t think he posts a lot. If ten established members were to read his reviews, and were happy that they appeared to be honest and accurate, then he could be nominated to Ric for TR status.

It would also help if escorts were more involved in verifying their reviews. They are, after all, in the best position to confirm that the encounter took place.

I think you've made a few good points there. Like James says though it's not abolishing the current TR system, but setting up a simultaneous method of getting more TRs on the site.
I can't remember his name, but I remember someone posting here recently about how he was from Kerry(i think) and anytime he was considering visiting a gal, he had a pretty good idea of which reviewers in his area had like minded and trustworthy opinions so he would systematically check them out, so there could be something to that nomination system you're talking about would be useful for those who know of and trust certain reviewers in their area.

As for the 269 posts thing, it does seem a bit steep considering there're relatively few people with that number of posts who haven't been banned or moved on. On the flip side of that, as we've all seen this week, a new user without any good intentions can quite easily work up 100+ posts in a matter of days.
I should mention that i myself have no intention of gettin a TR thingy, doubt i'll be around here that long but just giving my 2 cents.

I do agree there should be canges made to the trusted reviewer criteria as i just looked over my reviews if was looking apply for TR there is only two escorts i can ask references and one of them was back in 2009 there is no way she could remenber that type of client i am. but having to post 269 times is a bit much as i spend a few hours every day on EI but only now and then post on forms
