    I have to agree there.

As time has passed, so I have found myself disregarding a lot of reviews (some are clearly fakes, some are questionable), so I end up relying on established members for their opinion. So, in a sense, this is just formalising what a lot of us do informally in any case.

Also, as I have mentioned before, a lot of us won't be applying for the badges in the current form regardless.

So we could all gang up on Benin and get his badge taken off him. Now that would be fun lol

Scotus I must admit I thought the same untill I decided to take the plunge and sent a few PMs to some lovely ladies asking for a reference from them via PM so I could forward it to Ric.
I sent those lunchtime yesterday and recieved over my three required references within about 3 hours. Thank you ladies

To be honest it wasn't that hard, I just explained that I was applying and needed a ref. But I think most importantly i also suggested they completely ignore my request if they wanted to.

I'm really sorry guys, I don't have the time for a proper post, perhaps later.

All I want to express quickly at the moment is my concern regarding associating the number of postings (as a condition from being established) with TRs.

Established members with a necesary numbers of reviews could be a good idea.
But take into account people registered here for a certain lenght of time (more then a year or two) which also have the necesary numbers of reviews. They are as trusty as the rest. If anybody has some PM queries on their reviews, who is to say those people don't answer PMs even if they don't post ???

They are more than welcome to pursue the existing method of three written references. But they will be included in the list to be accessed by the members.

In any case this is only a method of eligibility I would expect that your ideas of how to finally administer the status should be considered.

Should the TR's be renewed every 6 or 12 months? That is to say that getting to be a TR is not for life. Therefore you would have to be beyond reproach if you want to keep your TR status?

Again sticky subject. My opinion is a TR is a TR unless objection is raised. The list is there for all to access. I may not continue to post here, but I may continue to shag lassies. Does this make me anymore untrustworthy. But I still admit through interaction I may be percieved as more trustworthy.
