    Quite a number of times.

And if I never visit again, well, that will be too soon

the russians winning doesn't bother me too much as they have well supported leagues over there, but the fact Qatar got 2022 is a fucking disgrace. The place is less than 4 times the size of London with no history of football, it is the biggest farce in football

you can't have a football tournament in a bloody desert

Yep Qatar has no history of football, never qualified for the tournament and is ranked about 115 in the Fifa world rankings.
Not sure what the weather is like there in June/July but i imagine it'd be slightly warm.

None of that matters of course when you've got money coming out of your ass. An absolute joke.

The average is 34.7 in July, with an average max of 41.5

I remember this overnight train we took from Moscow to Leningrad. It was like something out of the orient express.

The people there were amazing. Really wellcoming.

I took a train like that, and it is a good description.

And I agree the people can be absolutely wonderful - but even they for the most part admit the country is a hell-hole

I think if it should have been anywhere in the middle east it should have been Saudi Arabia. They have an excellent footballing tradition, they were the country that started the confederations cup. I don't know about Qatar but I know football is the most popular sport in Saudi Arabia and Iran.

At least Saudi Arabia have a decent football team and qualified by themselves a couple of times. Sure they lost about 5-0 most of the time they got there, at least they could give a game. Qatar will get beaten about 20-0... that's not much of an exaggeration.

I think some people are being a bit hard on Russia. They can't help it that so many are poor there.
