I moved from 205bhp to nearly 250bhp, and also an increase of 90nm torque (don’t quite understand the 90nm torque bit, but I do understand bhp…way hay). How the fcuk do they do that. And why is not your motor tuned to this extent when you buy it.

Taking off at traffic lights, tis like shit off a shovel. It’s supposed to give better MPG as well but I think I have to stop playing with the new found power first…lol.
Nope never tried that but sounds interesting.

I have that go faster button as well but this is a totally different ballgame.

No buddy. A mechanic won't do it for ya. And don't even think of asking your dealer. There are specialist guys out there that do it. Google diesel chipping or remapping. Don't know if I am allowed to post the company name here.

James only problem with that is your insurance!.. I have heard a few times(might be wrong)
    but ...

"you have altered the engine management chip in your car, or you have fitted high performance parts to your car - but at the Proposal Form stage you simply said that your car was a basic 1.6 GL. You then have an accident and look to your Insurance Company to pay for the cost of your car, as it is a total write-off. The Insurance Company sends an Inspector to view your car and the Inspector identifies that your car was not a basic 1.6GL but had been modified. The Insurance Company can declare your policy to be null and void from inception and can (legally) refuse to pay you any money whatsoever. "

Brother loves fast cars but he says it kills the gearbox, your engine technically should be able to handle the extra BHP but it will cause problems down the line especially if you keep your cars for a while, if you don't, have fun and get rid before something major goes wrong.. don't know how many gear boxs he went through, mainly on Audi's..

    Since when is a BMW M5 V10 a diesel ...... Ya tool!

Chipping alters the engine management system which controls a number of parameters. These include fuelling sequence, boost and auto box change sequence. You can move peak power and torque parameters around to give you better performance or better fuel economy. Its not a black art but WILL AFFECT YOUR INSURANCE POLICY IF CAUGHT.
My eldest son is an insurance assessor and the first thing he checks on a crashed car is the ECU and if its modified you are fucked ...... he keeps telling me this as I have a toy that produces 210 BHP from a 1.9 diesel engine!
