I recently wished I was lost, after meeting a person I knew in a hallways after an appointment.

    How small this world is.

Sometimes I hate it when people say, 'Hi Mark', smiling as they smug do at times.

As nonchalant as I was, he just knew I was at my work.

    Any other stories?

wou;ld it be wronk to wish you go senile when your old? i mean it would mean you could experience what you love everywhere you go.

Interesting post, I would like to hear the ladies thoughts on this, wandering new streets or even just the enjoyment of being lost. What I am getting at here is the difference between male and female spatial ability.

I saw an interesting study once regarding males and females asking for directions.

In the majority of cases, if you ask a bloke for directions, he will give technical directions, eg. "Go down the road about 500 yards, take the second left and you'll come to a roundabout. Take the third exit and carry on till the third set of lights. Take a left there and it's about 100 yards on your right."

Women tend to use visual references, eg. "Carry on down here and you'll see an Asda. Go past the Asda until you come to some traffic lights. Turn left at the lights and carry on until you see a church on your right. When you've gone past the church, turn right and you'll go down a windy road. At the end of the road, you will see a sign that says 'Please Drive Carefully'. Turn left when you see the sign and carry on until you see where you want to go on the left."

Those stidies have shown taht men have greater spacial abailities than women and our mental mapping is more complex, however women excell at descriptive references like you said,

There's a big difference between getting lost and not knowing where you are.
I do like to take routes I don't know and try to find my way back again.
Now which direction is north again?
