Considering most of the world economies have gone tits up where were you thinking of escaping to?

I feel for you, Nads. It's a shame that you, and many others, will probably have to leave your country of birth to enjoy a life worth living.

I remember the 80's and all the emigration. I was one of the lucky ones that didn't have to leave back then, and still remain one of the lucky ones that has a job now.

We all complain about the Government, and rightly so, but what alternatives are there?
But how many of us would consider getting into politics, and have the desire and qualifications to do the job.

If we want to change the current system and the cronyism that has been part of Irish life for 80 years, we will all have to voice our protest by getting onto the streets, or getting involved in local councils and force change from within. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening as we are all guilty of apathy when it comes to doing something practical about change.

I have been a Me Feiner for most of my life, and will continue as such for as long as I live.

Default Ah Westie, I can always rely on you to be the hurler on the ditch !

I am not being dramatically negative, I am being realistic.
You don't know my exact circumstances or just how my chosen industry has been decimated & I am not elaborating. Fact is I've had enough of this place & the sort of shite my apathetic compatriots accept from our public representatives.
They get away with it only because we let them !
Despite being a snide fucker I wish you well Westie.

Good luck with it Nads. It seems you won't be alone in the mass queue to go.

I'm heart broken that you don't care about me.
Luckily I know other people & that will cushion the blow.
