    I would guess it is just a coincidence. "Anon" and then the year is a fairly simple idea. There were already three other names starting with anon before this guy, not counting the former "AnonyMouse". I agree, however, that's it confusing. It would probably make everyone's life a lot easier if he were allowed, and perhaps required, to select a new name.
