You know something I was thinking over the past few days of how boxing has virtually disappeared off mainstream TV and was remembering the good ol' days when Chris Eubanks was to the fore. I used to love him. Pantomime with a punch...heehee.

Needless to say .. DeEegit will have something to say about the authenticity of Eubanks as a true boxer...but I don’t care cos I used to love him...

He certainly did a lot to promote boxing.

He caused such extreme reaction that people were coming to see him in the hope that the opposition punched his lights out. As a marketing ploy it was sheer genius.

Prince Naseem was another heavily marketed individual, but minus Eubank's talent - completely over-hyped.

But it certainly brought a bit of colour into the sport. Not much to get excited about nowadays
