Are people ungrateful to the Catholic Church?

How is it corrupt now?
They have made mistakes and are "slowly" learning from them!
Where is the corruption specifically aside from the issues such as womens roles,homosexuality etc.
Those issues are their views and they are entitled to them whether or not you disagree with them.
What actually makes them corrupt?

A) Their complete inability to recognise the old boys peaodophile club they allowed to flourish
B) Their vested interest in keeping the Vatican an unexamined 'holy city', answerable to no one but directly funded by their congregations
C) Their continued collection of funds but no apparent distribution of funds

To think that if the Church gave away all its wealth it could survive as an entity in this day and age is un realistic!

Look my attitude with this crowd is simple enough. If they want respect from me then they can earn it. They wont earn it by pretence,trying to strike fear into me, making me feel guilty or playing on my conscious. I am my own man and make my own mind up on thing s and my view of the catholic church is a bunch of abusive and irreprehensible scumbags. This view will never change until they do.

By the way i dont need a guy in a dress telling me what to believe in. I always had my own beliefs and always will so i dont need a book or a preacher to show me the way.

Oh my, where have u been??? It's been riddled with them and for years they knew about them and did nothing! Organised institutional religion is rotten to the core, and led by self serving eejits. That said, there are many many very fine priests out there, who, in spite of everything, are doing what they are supposed to do and doing great things too, even if it's only throwing starfish back..

The Church isnt telling you what to believe , they are giving a guide how to live a good life. If you dont agree with it fine but there is no need to have a go at them
Calling them scumbags isnt really fair as most of them are trying to help. Its people like you who are ignorent.
