I assume your refering to the the blue planet doc

    amazing doc
the marine deserts are seas that are furthest from land
    No nutrients no fish
nutrients are regulated around the sea by currents and the varying position of the sun

I must say though, I do a fair bit of diving. Eco freak isn't too far off the mark- we do a lot of damage. I spent a couple of weeks cleaning tesco carrier bags off a reef in Sharm, watching boatloads of tourists hopping on and off coral that had taken a million years to grow and then attempting to hack bits off as a souvenir. It does make you think.
Well maybe you lot shoud start keeping cod, and start throwing them back in............

    Come on, do your bit...........

    I fuckin hate Tesco..............

Ah, sure, but cant you all buy the same food wherever you go now? And hasn't it driven prices down? Kinda reminds you of Ryanair, huh?

I think your average cod is about a metre. Kind of hard to look after.

    The End of the Line
    Seafood Watch Widget

The End of the Line widget allows you to check whether the fish you are planning to buy or eat is caught or farmed in a way that is sustainable. Click 'get and share' at the bottom of the widget to email it to a friend, or to embed it anywhere from your blog, facebook profile or myspace page to your windows or mac dashboard.

The more people actively using this tool to find out what fish they should and should not be eating, the greater the chance that we can turn the tide of destruction caused by over fishing.
So please, send this to as many of your friends as you can!
