Do Women prefer to date or marry wealthy men

Was reading an article recently ''Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi shocked feminists everywhere when he said that women seeking a life partner should “follow the money” and marry wealthy.''

I was wondering what people think about this subject and would be interested to hear from both sides. Not too sure what to think about it myself as I think it probably depends on the woman concerned.

This is nothing new. Remember ladies are hardwired to care for offspring, and we want the best mate to secure the future of our babies, so better a 'rich' mate, than a poor one. Rich, is of course a relative term. For me I need a mate that is at least at the same socioeconomic level as myself or higher. This has nothing to do with caring for offspring, this has to do more with avoiding the hassle of being with a man who earns less than myself.

It is a question of happiness. If you are happy with a woman, and you are happy together, why would you question that? I have always dated well off men- mainly because those are the types of men I tend to meet.

Bloody men. Relationships in 2010 have more in common with google analytics. Introspection and soul searching are only good for after a relationship. Just hide your cheque book and have a ball.

It's ok mate... several ex's of mine have prospered from my misfortune, but I'm a sucker for a lovely smile, what can I say?

Says who? You? What if i were to tell you that what you might consider a lack of confidence ,another might look upon as confident?

Take a guy who is shy. What if i were to tell you that some women actually like this in a guy? Its true, some do.

Remember there is extrinsic and intrinsic confidence. Some are very confident outwardly but inwardly not all as much. Some are just good at covering their faults more.

Stop telling yourself you have confidence issues and just do things that you like doing. You will find that the more you do things you like doing ,the less of what you think about how others perceive you.

Dont confuse success with confidence either. I have seen some very successful ppl fall apart very quickly in the face of adversity that ppl of less accomplishment sailed through. Some of these ppl i have seen sail through probs werent the most outwardly confident ppl.

I think its best to see self confidence as driving along a freeway in a Ferrari. You know the power is there if you want to put the boot down anytime. Confidence is the same. Dont try to act confident all the time. Theres a time to chill and a time to pull the stops out. Thats real confidence,not the sort of cocky confidence of walking around like your shit doesnt stink type.

Tried that once and she was gone like a bat out of hell. But it did answer my curiosity.
