    Default Rooney to leave Utd

Rooney is to leave utd Sir Alex looked stunned that this is happening.I'm not surprised i always thought this would happen but i have to say i didn't think he would leave this soon. But there is no loyalty in any part of football anymore. Will this start the decline of utd?Alot of their players are getting old and it looks like they don't have the money to replace them.

    I support Liverpool, so I don't care.

Nah, I do a bit. This will still come as a shock to United fans even though it was on the cards. I hope his departure doesn't rock the boat too much at United, they're a huge club with great tradition.

Ferguson seems to have known since August that Rooney wanted to leave.
After handling the Tevez situation badly(not talking about it at all until he was gone) Ferguson is putting the pressure back on Rooney, who has claimed in the past that he wanted to stay at United until he retired. Ferguson needs the fans on his side, especially the way results have been going. I can't see him leaving before the end of the season, but what do I know???

He turned down a new contract before the world cup so they have known for a few months.Listening to the reports on sky sports news the fans are backing Ferguson.

You should care. Fernando Torres could be poached. Champions league football or the championship.

Its a bad situation alright. Rooney was a perfect striker and scored the goals teh Berbatoss couldnt in his dreams score. The only thing is who can they replace him with. Hernandez, Macheada are too and inexperienced to replace him and Berbatov is a hit and miss player while I dont know too much about Bebe. United will need a world class striker to help their cause now and this will be difficult too get with the Glazers trying to reduce their debt.

That's the best news I've heard in ages But it creates another problem City or Chelsea will get stronger if they buy him. Chelsea would be the most likely destination. Madrid don't seem to be that interested at the moment. I don't think he would be as good in Spain. It's a big blow to Utd. Whether he goes in January or the summer it's going to be a big problem for them. With this hanging over them and when he goes they won't be the same team.

I think the fans will back Ferguson as he was very honest in his interview. I felt sorry for him even though I don't like the man. After all he Utd have done for Rooney he does this to them. Fergusin is one of the best managers if not the best so it's crazy to leave. Theres also the scenario that if Utd don't let him go he can buy his own contract out as he's under that contract for more than 3 years. He can buy it out for 5 million.

It can't be to do with money as surely he must have enough made already. How much money does a footballer need?

I saw in todays paper that Madrid would offer Benzema and Diarra plus 20 million. But their not interested untill next summer. So that would just leave City and Chelsea. I doubt if Barcelona would be interested as it's Fabregas they want.
