I don't know if there's been a thread about this before, but I think it's not bad to start (a new) one.

What are your favorite martial arts movies/actors?


Mine are Ip Man, Ip Man 2, Fist of Legend and Jet Li's Fearless.

My favorite actors are Jet Li and Donnie Yen, I really really don't like Jackie Chan .

I liked John Saxon and Bruce Lee to a lesser extent. Chuck Norris as well. I generally hate fighting films.I find them boring.

I used to love old the old 80’s martial arts moves and actors but since I got into MMA about 7 or 8 years now I can’t watch them as they are total crap with fight scenes that physically can not be done, and I don’t know if anyone has noticed or not but you’re finding not only are MMA fighters getting into mainstream movies but also MMA fight techniques, skills and moves.

Its like the X factor for movies. Any ole sportsman can be a movie star. Thye are destroying films putting these guys in them. Look at some of teh wrestlers who go into movies? They are dreadful actors. I mean the Rock? What a waste. He should go back doing wrestling although he wasnt great at that either.

Dwayne is a fine actor imo. As for him going back to rasslin, that would be crazy. He makes more now for one film than in a year of busting his ass for WWE.

He cant go back into wrestling because like alot of other wrestlers he got burned out on steroids. The guys that stay usually end up dead early due to the hectic travel , pain killers , steroids and drinking and recreational drugs at times too. The smart ones get out once the money is made. That doesnt mean they should become actors and annoy us all.

Have to agree about the rock being a shit actor but i wouldn't turn down a couple of million to make a movie.....
