I agree (with the former part of your reply), but I think the whole oedipus complex is (to an extent) a bit of a misconception. Agreed, his methods always verged to the idea of sex and sexuality, and in certain crime scene investigations in America, there is a corrolation between a man's preference in women, stating that there are certain similarites between the said person and his mother (as an example).

I've been considering why I was drawn to frogs as a choice of an avatar. The only thing I can think of is that for me, frogs are a symbol of change (from tadpole to frog) and are subtle creatures. I'm not sure if 'subtle' sums me up, but I can't think of any other reason.
