I have had this career for several years now. I have worked at it part time and full time. I see this and treat it like a business. I run it like a business and it looks after me. I personally wish I had started younger, but like Bustybronte I did the education thing, family thing, and I am glad I did. My life experience has helped greatly. I have to say I am a happy hooker, I love what I do, I like the flexible hours, and working conditions. I am my own boss, and choose to and how I work. I set the rules. If I don't feel like working, I take the day off. Plus there is the added benefit of short working hours in comparison to I earn even in a recession. Nothing is like the good old days, but it is still better that working the checkout at Tescos.

I have nothing to add to the topic here but it is awesome to see so many of our favourite ladies posting sincerely and genuinely on the topic.

It gives a very real perspective on the lives of those with whom we enjoy spending our time. Well done to all.

I agree with all you have said. I hate going to an escort where the language barrier means we can't talk.. but this post shows how many articulate women are in the business ..

At the present minute in time I am on a break... I am not sure if I shall do a final tour or just not bother and call it quits.. I went to uni late in life to get the job I have dreamt of for a long time.. I got a very good qualification.. and if honesty has to be spoken I love escoring but its not my dream job.. I would happily walk away from the higher money to do my dream job which pays a lot less... but then they say you get a job you love you never work another day in your life... at the minute I am working towards my dream job.. yes I don`t get the same money I earned in escorting.. but you know wat from the minute I get up and go to work I smile.. smiling all day long enjoying every moment of it.. and if I could get this job for life and I would be the happiest lady around.. so I guess yes you can be happy away from escorting..and make a life.. but then life must have a purpose..x

You make a good point there, Violette, about the business aspect of things. We all bring our own person into the job we do, and often the job influences our lives and colours our views in way we perhaps don't yet realise. For example, my job is with people, all day every day. I have to develop relationships and give assistance wherever possible, and despite myself, I find that I do care about the people I work with. This spills over into my private life as I meet people and naturally want to get to know them and ask searching questions. Not as intense as in work, but there all the same, 'cos I spot it all the time and try to catch myself on.

In my limited experience of "punting" I decided to regard it as simply business transaction. Being aware of this I had to control my desire to delve too deeply in conversation, 'cos I feel the last thing an escort needs is someone trying to get inside their head. So I either shut up and appear intense, or be as superficial as possible.

I guess I'm trying to find out, in a long winded way, if escorting colours or influences your views on men, women or humanity, or is there a way to compartmentalise the job and real life? If and when you stop will you look at humanity in a different way than before you started?
