I'm sorry. I'm not going to debate such a serious subject with someone with such uninformed and dangerous views...........

Uniformed and dangerous views? So it would be better if i told them "Yes your fucked im afraid. Mentally ill." My uninformed and dangerous views are actually a great help to these ppl if they are willing to stop and really grasp what i am saying. I will stop here because you really dont want me to expand my views on this even further.

Think about a thing long enough and often enough and it becomes habitual, to the point of you not even knowing it.

By all means promote mental health ,by all means promote balance if thats what suits a person, but keep it real and stop blowing the thing out of proportion. I have met quite a few screwed up heads but i cant think of one that required intervention. I can however thinkl of a few that sought intervention and ended up worse with less money too.

    just my feelings on it,

the thing about mental health as I see it & I lived with a girl who had depression: for certain people it is an emotional response to a distressing environment for others its biochemical yet mental health professionals are unwilling to take the steps necessary to actually see the things going on in the persons life that is causing them distress, the frustration is if your symptoms were caused by one & u were being treated for the other, my point too much medication handed out too much misunderstanding of mental illness....

What Westside basically says is that you should stop being a crybaby and stop being an attention whore.

    It makes me sick.

I never said anything about stop being a crybaby. This just suits you to say that instead of doing something more productive like reading.

To start with, reading is not a productive skill, but receptive.

And second, you bash people who, in your eyes, 'think' they have a mental illness, it just seems so unfair, you obviously feel completely sane and healthy, too bad in about every post you make, you seem emotionless, ruthless and you just don't seem to care about the opinions or feelings of others.

    Well said? Leech.

Westside, you cannot possibly begin to grasp the depths and sorrows of mental illness. Empathy is a sense you are in need of.

That guy is in need of a lot more than empathy. May I rest my case.

No. Empathy for mental illness is not quite the same as empathy for everyone you meet.
