I agree that escorts should be free to charge whatever they want. But I have a question. We've had no end of threads from punters complaining that escorts charge "too much". There was another one recently. Those threads seem not to get deleted. When we have a thread from an escort complaining about someone charging "too little", it gets deleted. I don't agree with either point of view, but why does one get deleted and the other doesn't?

Because Melissa is an escort and she has no right to name and complain about what another escort is charging.

Punters complaining about escort prices is general and seeking reductions does not target any individual escorts i.e. it cannot be viewed as seeking to damage an individual escort's business. In this case, we had a warning posted about one particular escort based solely on her prices..........this is no justification for such a warning and it can only be construed as a form of negative advertising against this escort.

But that’s exactly the problem Doozer, some escorts are not allowed to change what they want because it goes against what the others are charging, they are forced by pressure by others to raise their prices to be around or matching what the going rate is.

For as long as I’ve been punting its been happening, most escorts won’t admit to it or want punters to know it goes on it does, because not very often just the odd time you will however get one escort brave enough who will stand-up for herself and tell everyone that it does go on and she will not be pressurised into raising her prices, these women are TRUE independent escorts.

Okay, that's a sensible distinction. I didn't see the original post before it was deleted, but singling out one person is clearly bad.

Any posters who have been around for a while will be aware that escorts, or some escorts at least, have sought to combine to maintain pricing levels or keep them from reducing. We had a leaked thread from the escort's private forum last year which confirmed that a number of escorts had sought to do this. However, given the recession or depression (take your pick) and the increasing number of escorts operating here, the old cartel system has taken quite a bashing.
