It's more than a keeper Arsenal need I'm afraid. Just not good enough. Arsenal were better than in previous matches against Chelsea and had alot of the play but couldn't create any clear chances. There was no Fabregas, Van Persie and Walcott but that shouldn't be an excuse. If your going to win things the back up players have to be as good. With Spurs and City having strong squads even the top 4 isn't guaranteed. As for Liverpool they have no chance of making the top 4.

I agree, wenger uses the same old excuses of us dominating matches yet we come away empty handed yet again. We have far too many similar players..ie arsahavin, rosicky, nasri in midfield we need a player in the vein of essien who is a physical presence attack wise as well as defensive and a commanding keeper and a striker who can score 20 a season, something that the rest the the other major teams have.

i thought the 2 tackles by malouda and then essien before half time should have been straight reds...might have been a different game then

I read earlier that Schwarzer still wants to come to Arseanl. I don't think Wenger will pay 3 million for a player of his age and whose going to be out of contract at the end of the season. If he did sign him what would happen the young keepers? Unless he gets rid of Almunia. If he's going to sign anyone it should be Given or Reina. At least their young.

I agree it's in midfield the problem is.I don't think Song is good enough in midfield. He does good in some games. But against the big teams he struggles. Also Diaby gets injured too much. A good powerful midfielder to rough up teams is what's needed. Theres 3 strikers out injured (Van Persie,Bendner and Walcott) so I'm not sure if they need a striker.

I don't think any of the above will score 20 a season though, there has been talk lately that benthner may have to retire beacuse of injury and and i hate to admit it but van persie even though he is one of my favourite players will get injured at some point in ther season.Defensively i have been impressed by konscheliy i thought he was going to flop but has done ok but squallici is a disaster and i don't really think schwarzer is much better and far to expensive at his age.

I think Bendner will be back after the international break. Alot of the players should be back by then.

I just saw on the Arsenal website Pires is back training with Arsenal. He's out of contract and is building up his fitness the way Beckham and Sol Campbell did in recent seasons. I wonder will Wenger sign him if he impresses? Arsenal legend training at London Colney | News Archive | News | Arsenal.com

Sneidjer wants to leave Inter but I think he will end up at United
The way things are going at Liverpool Arsenal could probably get Stevie G cut price next season
or even Napolis Marek Hamsek or Simone Kjaer of Palmero would also be good buys for them
