I don't agree. I believe that our collective urge to be 'as one', and therefore fulfilled, is a by product of social and religious conditioning. I also believe that if we, as primarily animals, could accept that the natural condition is to be alone we would save an awful lot of depression and misunderstanding.

Nice post though. I love love too, I am just a little jaded to accept it is the holy grail.

Sounds a lot like the E-I forums.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

I think you come here to talk to me anyway. Hardly Mensa, but bloody good fun.

Once again you're spot on Luce, you really do have a wise head on young shoulders. But without money nobody would get have fun with you

What does make an escort to leave the job? the same thing that made me leave the previous jobs. From the moment I am not happy anymore, I am not getting the fulfillment I expect, when I don't feel appreciated anymore, I will stop. Very simple. For me it is like any other job that I had. I am leaving from at the moment that I wish a new challenge, I hate routine, same things over and over, so challenges keep me going.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone could live their lives this way, where they follow their instincts and take on new challenges to keep themselves happy, sane and fulfilled. Unfortunately it is not the case and so many feel trapped where they are due to whatever responsibilities they have.

well lucy i never said anything about a "collective urge to be 'as one'"......and there is no "natural condition" some argue that man is a social animal..but well some people like to be alone some don't..aloneness will always be present perhaps.......aloneness and loneliness is our condition but that state is not contrary to being in a relationship....as Heidegger said we realise our individuality through our own death...we die alone.....I also never said that being loved or loving will ultimately fill the emptiness at the core of the human condition...what I was taking you up on was the notion that because you've done something once doesn't exhaust the possibilities when a similar but not same action is done again

I would argue that man is a social animal through an evolutionary lense at least
Man on his own is pretty much shit and tends to die, whereas nin a group we beocme the most dangerous animal of all
Heidiger hit the nail on the head there with that
