And not only that, any judge that knows F^&k-all about the law wouldn't issue a warrant in the first place for something so trivial (which, as has repeated been pointed out, isn't against the law here anyway). And also, warrants aren't exactly easy to get; they need a minimum level of adequate 'just cause' to even present adequate evidence to a judge to issue a warrant, and they'd hardly be ringing a judge at home on a Saturday evening to get him to write-up/authorize a warrant for something so frivolous-- or at least I can't imagine it happening like that...

The exact same thing happened to me on Friday in Wexford and I have decided to tell you all.....punters and escorts, because I am sick to death of these agencies trying to drive us girls out of "their territory" and for the Garda giving us somewhat "conflicting" information.

I let the DETECTIVES in and they asked my lovely client what he was doing there, neither of us gave any info about money and after a brief chat they let him go on his way. I was more concerned about him TBH.

I invited them to sit down and talk to me because I was really angry and was also telling them that I had not done anything illegal and that they should be getting the bad guys of Wexford and not picking on independents! They said to me "we could have busted in here ALL GUNS BLAZING, but we want to deal with it in a discrete manner" *mmn me thinks
They explained that they were "investigaing in the area" and that my room had been watched and the previous client had given them a statement when they caught him leaving. It stated that he had paid me for sexual favours!!

Now my question is Did they REALLY have a statement from him? Should I have asked to see it? Does this really make it possible for them to enter with no warrant? All I could think about was to keep calm and use my head in a positive way so that I didnt get arrested

I wish I was FULLY AWARE of the law in Ireland so that I knew exactly what to say and do!!!!

They did show me their ID and they WERE Police but I was not arrested, I did take their names too

So many Questions and very odd in several ways.

I certainly got my point across that I AM NOT ashamed of the job I do. That I am a hard working woman, making a living to pay bills, like them. I dont rip my clients off and I dont have a pimp, take drugs or offer unprotected sex.
I told them that they should be H E L P I N G ladies like me and not busting them.
Made me laugh but they actually suggested trying to talk to the "higher powers that be" in the vice squad to discuss the valid points I had raised.

This hasn't happened to me, yet, but I have thought about it, because it's best to be prepared. The most likely reason the guards would want to talk to a punter is to get evidence of "running a brothel", in other words of sharing an apartment. I don't see any reason to make that any easier for them, and I'm in no hurry for any statement of mine to appear in court proceedings. So my story is that I didn't pay for sex and I didn't see or hear anyone else in the apartment. I don't care if they believe me as long as they can't disprove my story.
