I read this post earlier today and decided to suspend my judgement until I had given it a bit of time to sink in, in case I was just being unfair by reacting without thinking.

Well, I have thought about it and I still feel the same way.

I am amazed both by the original post and by the majority of the responses...

If this post had been made by any male member of the forum, I feel sure that it would have been flamed into oblivion. As I read it, Siobhan has thrown her toys out of the pram because she did not get sufficient responses to what she felt were witty and erudite posts.... Well, SO WHAT. Perhaps the viewers/readers didn't think they were either witty or erudite enough to warrant a response.

It reads to me as if we (the forum members) don't pander to her, that she is going to leave... If that is the case, then my response is, see ya....

Just because you are one of the few female posters here doesn't mean that us guys should kiss your ass.

If I were being totally frank, it seems to me that Siobhan wants the reactions and following that (say) Lucy C has. Well, guess what, we all think we are funnier and more entertaining than we are. But... We aren't.

So... rather than whinge about it, there are two other better solutions in my view. Try harder or stop complaining...
