Could be a few things
I wouldnt worry about the dog eating grass, they do this to line their stomach and eat stones to grind their own food and then they throw it up again. To be on the safe side bring to the vet but it could be nothing
Thanks for the reassuring words guys, both Spanners and i appreciate them
He could have colitis- is there blood in the mucus?

Try boiled chicken and plain rice. Sound like my dog, but she is a cavalier and is prone to it. Vet's for you , I think.

I have a 6 year old male Boxer and he eats grass all the time when I’m out with him. Honestly I think he must have been a cow in a past life.
After eating it he too does be sick he also makes a choking sound.
I talked to the vet about this and he said its nothing to worry about, its just a habit some dogs have.
He explained to me that they be sick afterwards because of the acid in the grass.
He told me that some dogs just have a habit of eating things they shouldn’t.
He told me about one dog he had to operate on that had a habit of eating stones. He was so bad he had to be opened up and the stones removed from the stomach. He now has to wear a muzzle all the time when out to stop him from doing it again.
