Well holy God I couldn't believe it when I heard it yesterday. He did look old alright. He's was part of everyones household for many years every Sunday at 8.30. He did look old alright. The last thing I saw him on was Ros na Run. He was a very good actor and should have been on our screens more often. It seems he enjoyed doing theatre work more. Theres less opportunities in tv acting in Ireland. But I'm sure if he wanted to he could have appeared in any Irish film that was made over the last 20 years.
