Hello everybody,
I recently arrived in Ireland and got a simple question: Why do most ladies do not answer calls from landline phones?

I think teh main reason is for security. Hotel managers trying to cath an escort out or even the gardai are known to use landlines.
Also a mobile tends to be used for an individual only whereas you wouldnt know who could be ringing you from a landline. For example anyone can ring from a landline like a phone box so if a person who is upto no good calls from a landline you cannot keep tabs on them if he calls from another phone box etc
