I think shoulders will be shrugged at Ringo now due to his more recent behaviour. I saw him playing on the roof of Liverpool town hall at the launch of the Capital of Culture a couple of years ago. He played a song with the lyrics, "Liverpool, I left you, but I never let you down". Two weeks or so later, he was on the television saying how shit Liverpool is and later told his fans not to bother sending any more fan mail.
