I'm glad to see a bit of a varied response here................ I don't think hygiene is an issue and they don't all have babies, so every one to their own.
By Retro I meant long,old-fashioned dresses and skirts with a great possibility of petticoats underneath!!!
Nobody seems to have any connections to that world or any experience of gypsies of any kind??
I've seen some smiles that would make you think......

Which reminds me, I also have this thing about Indians in traditional dress. All that colour and bright silks and floaty material against that lovely dark skin really gets me going. Don't see too much of it here, but it's one thing I remember about living in Blighty
