To be completely honest, I use the invisible mode because I don't want anybody who is checking who's online, to see that I spend a lot of time checking who's online and a few other things I might be up to,

Rover a lot of people spend time viewing who's online, it stops you getting logged out when you're not actually doing anything cause the page keeps getting refreshed..........

Ya, this will stop you getting logged out but if you view the site the way I do via the "New Posts" button and I have to go away for a few minutes, if you leave yourself in the "Who's Online" page it will still show you all the threads you haven't viewed yet, and all the new threads since you last logged in when you cone back.........
