IMO closing threads so people can't post in them is never a cool thing to do. Why not let people post if they want to?
Closed threads annoy me unless it was done for a really compelling reason.
You can stuff your "specific rules" and threat to close the thread.

People can post what they want so long as it's compliant with the rules regardless of what you specifically ask. Your thread was closed for provoking others into bad behaviour.
I didn't get warned, I didn't even post in that thread. As far as I'm aware you're the only one who received a warning.
