Maybe if you drove on the left hand side of the road you wouldn't have to keep slapping on the brakes to oncoming traffic..

I try not to drive too close to the left. They advise that but i have seen too many ppl hit, doors of cars hit and motorbike accidents to keep into the left. I try and stay out a little bit. You can always move in if needed.Not always easy to move out though if something jumps out in front of you.

If i was in by the left with the dog i would have hit him.
