I did not consider getting between a married couple. Thing is, I expect to enter

I've been around the block and i write this with the benefit of experience.

No couple having difficulties will benefit from the kind words of a well-meaning friend. Whilst your heart may be in the right place, nothing you say or do will have change what's going on between them.

That's a bit of a generalisation. Women have affairs too,though probably not as often.
You talk about the neglected wife, but what about the neglected husband?
It is a two way street, there are different pressures for both parties in a relationship.
You are right, men tend to give in to temptation more than women.
If a man is interested in pursuing a woman, he has to work at it for a while.
If a woman is interested in a man, she knows that offering sex will clinch the deal.
Once she has achieved her objective, she just has to offer the odd snack to keep him there.
