I seen a undercover documentary from London. A reporter got a job with one of the dodgy firms.
Ex-cons work for these firms. It showed them waiting outside a bank. A gent in a Merc
queried was this space ok whilst he ran in for something. The ex-con said "thats fine guv".
The minute he went in they clamped him and waited. He had to get them £560 sterling.
    How would Berk handle that?

But what happens then some fella working down the road decides to park there for free taking up the spaces
    Blatant promotion should be outlawed

Maybe tehre should be a ticket that has to be clipped by a doctor or a nurse.

The real problem here is that teh hospitals dont own their car parking spaces, they lease them out to private firms and they dont care about anyone situation they just want to make a profit

good point...but if the person parking the car has to get into the hospital in an emergency then ffs the clamp should be removed.

Well i would say when he queried the space he had his doubts it was legal , most clamping companies here are not payed according
to how many they clamp. In Ireland private clampers would be only working mainly out of privately owned parking areas

Sorry Doozer but I fully agree with zero tolerance as far as parking in the emergency bay of a hospital in concerned, sometimes seconds are the difference between life and death and if some ladies nose has to put out of joint just because she didn't want her dear old mother having to walk too far then so be it, I'd prefer to save a life than cause another some inconvenience. She should have just dropped her off and If her mother was so ill that she couldn't walk or wait for her to return while she parked somewhere safely then she should have called an ambulance herself..

It was 10pm and behind some shops was a small private car park. There was
a sign up (legal requirement) but I guessed the private firm would have quit
for the night. Some cunt living in a flat above could have grassed me.
When I returned to the vehicle the sign on the window said-service 10am-10pm-
so I had to get a cab home. €100 on a saturday morning was stiff but I had accepted
it the previous night and minimised the downer. Key damage or fucking with
my mirror would have been more costly and distressing. Ever happen to you?
My car got clamped by mistake and i phoned them and told them i need the car i a half hour. They never turned up so i cut the clamp off with an angle grinder and gave it back to them later on. Never heard anymore about it afterwards. This is the opnly time i got clamped.

I have seen a wedding car clamped.

Clampers are scumbags who jsut want to fling the clamp on as fast as possible and avoid confrontation.

I just find congestion at hospital car parks-I see people queing for ages to get parking.
That external congestion seems to make me feel congested inside. Build a multi storey car
park and create some work in this place? In hospitals I often see a fleet of vans flouting
the law. Clampers feel a bit scared to clamp them, seemingly. Thats where I'd like to deploy the large

My thoughts exactly i have seen cases that for whatever reason the tickets has run over by a couple of minutes and in they come and put on the clamp...surely they could give them the benefit of the doubt.
I have lived a life of regrets.

Quite a few hospitals have extended clamping and policing hours in some sts around them. On College rd Cork, clamping doesnt stop until 8 at night.
