I was diagnosed with depression 6 months ago but in reality I've been suffering it for 5 or 6 years. Failed marriage, floated in and out of jobs, heavy drinking and drug taking, distancing myself from friends and family, house turning into a tip, getting anxious then aggressive and just sliding further and further down.
Was put on medication but it made no difference. So the social services put me on a condition management program. This involves meeting dietitians, physiotherapists, physcologists etc. I am a he'll of a lot better now.
Have improved my diet, eating healthy, going to pilates and relaxation classes, talking things thru and getting there. Got myself a dog to go walking and it's a great way to get out and about!
If I can do it Harry then u can! But get up and look for help, I couldn't do it on my own. But with all the meetings I rocking and raring to go!!!
P.S. Being sober is a great help!!
