Well, this song doesn't describe how I feel today, but I just came across it by chance on YouTube and I remembered what a genius Roy Orbison was. While most other male rock 'n' roll performers in the 50s and 60s tried to be macho, Orbison instead sang about his loneliness and vulnerability.

This version of Crying was released in the late 80s as a duet with the magnificent k.d. lang, who is a first-rate singer-songwriter and a brave activist who did much to raise the profile of LGBT people in the music industry.
