I was listening to the radio the other day and one version of route 66 was played on it.
I did a bit of research and found out the original was composed and recorded in 1946 by Bobby Troup, but played by NAT KING COLE.
Is interesting to note how the song evolved during the years and was adapted to different styles.
Here is the original version by him. Jazz style.

This is the Nat King Cole version of route 66, Rithm and Blues version. Recorded in the 40s.

In 1964 the Rolling Stones did their own version of the song played by Chuck Berry.
Note how the tempo is faster, and a bit more distortion on the guitars.
