I'm mad tonight bcos Green is a shit goal keeper
a question, are these changes to the website necessary? the awards were taking away bcos it was slowing the website down, yet we have the reference thing going on ( dont really know how it works & dont care), giving kudo's to posts & members you like to make them feel good or special or whatever it does !!! does this not slow down the website?
The changes I would like to see is stricter rules on reviews & photo verification on profiles to cut down on fakes, things that make escorting & punting more reliable, rather than the look or competitiveness of how good or popular a member or escort poster you are....
Now dont get me wrong, love having a bit of craic ( excuse the pun) but is there not more important issues on the site that need dealing with??
Or am I just having a bad day & a winge???
All green area words are blurred. The older layout looked much better. Someone said something about this looking good on a wide screen but mine aint and not spending 500 when what was there a few hours ago worked and looked just fine. It looked far more stylish and modern,
yes there are far more important things. The reason we are always messing with the message boards is because the product they are based on -vbulletin - is constantly updated and we apply all the updates. we also add some non essential updates and design changes, but it is mainly about keeping the software up to date, which is important for security etc reasons. I'd rather not update them so much, but it is the way things are if we want to keep up to date.
one of the main reasons we are trying new design is because people complained about old one, saying they preferred one before that. I couldn't get one similar to one before last until very recently, but it is now available, so I got it. Not saying we can't go back or make changes if it is what the majority want. Don't quite understand ur comment as you were highly outspoken about how much you disliked last design, which you now say you liked?
I am talking about the layout as it was a few hours ago. I never said I disliked that. The one I said I disliked was months ago when it was part blue and green and was a dif layout to what was there a few hours ago. The one a few hours ago looked great and modern. Any green areas like edit - reply - quote are blurred and acually are giving me a headache as they are a strain on the eye like when you get a newspaper that has been printed wrong.
I think you are mixing me up with someone else Patricia I was never highly outspoken about last layout that was there today. I dont even remember saying a word about it.

where & who are complaining about the old design? I dont see that. Am I missing something. I see complaints about verified pics, fake profiles etc but not how the design looks? sorry to question you Pat bcos obvbiously you own the most successful & lucrative website but I just never see complaints on design. Are the people complaining really that much of a majority to make change?
non essential? says just that, if they are non essential why bother???
Hi leah,
I don't mean people have been complaining about design lately. I mean when we did upgrade from vbulletin 3 to 4 some months ago, there were loads of complaints about design. So, when a design similar to our 3 design was released a few weeks ago, we decided to give it a try, see if people are happier with it. Before a few weeks ago we couldn't as it hadn't been released yet.
When I say "non essential" updates, I mean not essential to vbulletin security, things like the custom updates we have put in escort forum for escort security. We do also sometimes apply not essential updates which aren't important, but this is only because they are available and easy to apply, so we figure we may as well. We certainly don't and never would take developers off important stuff for fluff.
I understand ur points entirely, but I think u misunderstand how things work, we are not really wasting development time like you think we are here.
