I think tthere are too many examples of extreme language used on the boards. Whilst you may be hurt or angry at a particular poster for something he/she says, you must be obliged to respond in a measured and non- extreme fashion.Otherwise, the temperature is allowed to rise very quickly and those posters who have no problem in using hard or strong language or issuing direct insults at others, have a free reign.
Those members who are more passive or sensitive are then put off posting for fear that they will be attacked. This is my guess but I suggest I am right. I would call on the Moderators to watch out for ' bar room' or ' school yard ' insults or bullying and deal effectively with those posters. The language must be more moderate,imo. I think you will then find people will feel confident to post about issues that interest or concern them about this industry.
