Do not drive that car anywhere but to the nearest garage and get it checked out, any number of things could have happened.

Whiplash is known to surface after a few days when the person realises they are totally in the right... as you are given what you stated happened.
    QPH,

the law actually states that accidents must be reported ONLY if someone is injured. In this case, Kelly seems to have only noticed her injuries well after the accident which is quite common.

As long as she has the details of the car/driver that hit her from behind, she needs to contact her insurance company and make them aware of it. It is also likely that if the car in front of her makes a claim, that she will be liable until it is established that the car behind her forced her into him.

Timing is very important. Some insurance companies have a condition that an accident is reported within 48 hours.

In any event, hopefully her injuries are not serious. However, she should report them to her insurance company who will send her to a doc so that they can be assessed. The nature of soft tissue injuris is that they are generally hard to pin down and the longevity of them are subjuctive. Therefore, getting to the Doc earlier rather than later is important as the bruising from seatbelt etc will still be obvious.

Other than that, I will leave it to the Personal Injuries Lawyers to make contact with her!!!
