I'm an occasional user to answer El Gordo's original question Id say it could be viewed as a private club. Obviously no fees, can post as much as you want, but as most posts are from same group then it can seem like a private club. Above thread by Alec Horan (May 2008!) Interesting how Carlos Marvado took offence to the above...and I don’t mean to suggest that he is retarded.

Firstly to anyone who is mentally handicapped or physically disabled I apologise if any offence was taken. It goes without saying that people who compete in the Special Olympics are special indeed. But I suggest the majority of those people wouldn’t be offended. The joke is aimed at people who argue in internet forums, it does not in my view demean disabled people.

The intent was to highlight how mob rule operates on the internet, the spite that prevails when anonymity is guaranteed and normal social etiquette isn’t required. He who shouts loudest or last can seem to win an argument on line (or he from the club with the power to delete someone’s post).

That argument is not without merit. I myself fully intended to go that route when started modding but I like to post and found it hard to not do so. The other side of the coin is if we never opened ours mouths apart from strictly mod matters we would become distant and maybe not approachable or new members would not see any light side to us but just posting to say stop that... careful now... like Father Ted... I had a fair few posts notched up before I started and I post far far more in mod forum then I do out here and lately the posts I made in there get added to overall total, that was not always the case, it seems to change now and then, maybe when new upgrades are done.

The stats on this are wrong as they include posts we made in mod forum.

I closed that thread as it was abusive.. the abuse was deleted, if you do not believe that then ask Patricia or any other mod as they can see it. Those warning threads are for customers now and in the future to see the issue at hand and not for trolls to piss all over as is what had happened and so was locked, anyone could have started their own thread on that matter anytime they wanted.

I don't know what you mean by "anti women jokes" but they wouldn't have most people who consider themselves feminists up in arms. I'm sure many escorts consider themselves to be feminists. What you might consider "anti women jokes", may not be considered that way by the majority of feminists.

So no I don't think it's "hypocritical" at all. You seem stuck on the mentality that prostitution is some type of degrading of women and that therefore an escort forum must surely have loutish guys and have a relaxed policy regarding making fun of groups of people (or using an implied inferiority of a group of people to make fun of others).
