Whats the point of this asshole rep. I mean we all read the posts and we all form our own opinion of the posters from their posts. Where will labeling people an asshole get us? People will either A try and get peoplethey dont like labeled thusly or deliberatly go out and try and get as many as they can. Will end up as a forum version of an ASBO with people seeing them as a badge of honour. At the end of the day we all have our opinions. This is what makes a chat forum work. If we all agreed it would be very f**king boring here

Could I just ask, what is it with the references to numbers and equations? I've never posted an equation to this site. A few of my posts have numbers in them. Is this really a problem?

Infairness Gordo you do come along with a lot of statistics I.E Number analysis, some very good that has stuck in peoples minds, I'd take it as a compliment. Lets face it You are synonymous with numbers the same way Mr Fussy is with his ego

Well said Mr. Doozer, you are very eloquent and hit the nail right on the head, in fact your posting is nearly up to same high level as mine. It would be very monotonous on this site without a few assholes.

It was actually Anon's post that caused me to post. The fact that somebody like Anon ended up getting two negative reputation votes for what was in effect a helpful/informative thread made it obvious that even the current reputation bar system is being abused............so why open up further avenues for abuse.

If people are'nt prepared to stand up and defend their views by posting with their primary user name, then they should bugger off instead of trying to antagonise others under a further cloak of anonymity.

Yes, and people will be a lot more biased towards the popular opinion. I mean in real life we have "positions" and beurocracy and status and all it does most of the time is give certain people more power for no reason and makes people afraid to express their true feelings if they go against the crowd or against their "career" prospects (reputation).

So they say what they think other people want to hear, they become "yes men".... and look at how the world is going because of it. I thought the internet and E-I was some place where you could go and be honest... instead of censoring people's views so we never know what they really think, and they could be the ones who are right.

I will be happy to answer your question after you answer mine (I believe the record will show I asked it first) I asked you what part of that quote do you not see as an accusation in plain and understandable English that we ban just for expressing an opinion?

With respect us being accused of that should not just get swept under the carpet and ignored without some proof being ponied up... This thread is called "Improvement suggestion" after all, how can it be good for the site for us to be accused of that without being shown evidence...

That is a little more important to this site then your question but I will reply to it if you do not continue to direct attention onto something else as you know as well as all of us that it is a clear statement that mods ban for having an opinion...

We have never done so and I take it as an insult that I would do so... if people can post these lies then I sure as hell can shine a light on it and ask for proof. I have nothing to hide, if I had I would not be demanding proof be shown...

I more believe that we come on here for some light hearted banter and people are more inclined to pick the threads that interst them and respond to them, it's not being led or turning into YES men but human nature. Ok there are a few topics you feel you need to respond to or contradict the person such as this one but for the most part we just want to get along with no hassle, there's enough of that in real life.. Oops, herself is calling me, haven't time to edit this so if it's complete garbage, don't worry I'll know it myself when I read it again later

The answer to your question is that I hadn't originally noticed the bit you've put in bold. I said "I don't see where she said..." and I didn't see it. Now I see it. Maybe I should have looked harder, but I didn't. I don't know whether you believe that or not, but it's the truth.

There seems to be an epidemic of people defending themselves of things they weren't accused of. I don't know what Anna was referring to, but there's no reason to believe it refers to anything you've done. There are other mods. And people aren't just banned by mods. Torturedarc was banned by Pat last night. So you have no reason to feel insulted, now. Maybe Anna wants to insult you. I don't know. If she does then I am sure she will. I suggest we wait until she's back. Then we'll know. Until then this is all just idle speculation.

Now, about my question? I know it's not important. But you clearly don't like me, and I've never properly understood why. I think this might help me to figure it out.
