It's not well-written.

Some may question why we looked at the broader issue of prostitution in a
research project aiming to examine the extent of trafficking of women and girls.
The reason is because there is no clear line between where the elements of
trafficking end and “consent” to become involved in the sex industry begins.

There is no clear line between where directly causing a car accident and being the victim or innocent participant in one can be drawn either. That's no reason at all to simply jumble them up together and imply as if they're the same thing.

You have to love how they put quotation marks around the word "consent", as if girls aren't able to consent to prostitution.

It's not the girls who don't consent to it, it's Ruhama and these other groups who don't consent to it.

These people at Ruhama and other similar organizations are shovelheads. Nobody should be under any illusions about that.

It would be easy to be apologetic to them and say "their heart is in the right place" and "look at all this work they did and the effort they put into it, they must be doing some good". That's the easy way out.

The truth is all they do is harass and annoy escorts, talk condescendingly to and about them, confuse people and lie to them, play horrible emotional mindgames with escorts, many who are young and naive and don't know who to listen to.

Its one point of view - I visit escorts for exactly the reason Diamond Jim says - why the hell would I waste my time with the wine and dine experience if all I want is to have sex with a beautiful woman. Going to an escort you know what you are getting and to be blunt the amount of non escort girls who will try anything other than basic sex - well I havent found too many. I know there are great girls out there but my relationship goal is to stay single so I won't lead a girl on just to have sex with her. The amount of times that a relationship has ended because the girl wanted to get serious, move to the next level, have babies etc - well I just don't need the stress.

Not my words but the general words of some posters on boards.ie. There were basically these fellas posting how "men who do escorts are insecure" or "they sexually oppressed" or they you had those arseholes who'd say "I'd never pay for sex". i felt like telling him that everytime he screws his gf he pays for it he just doesn't realise it.

Point is that it just goes to show these guys own ignorance coz if any of them ever did escorts they would know it's nothing to do with any of those things. I can pick up girls at the drop of a hat. In a pub, in a shop, getting a coffee, I've never had trouble talking to women and ive also been blanked 1000's of times. But the thing is that it's the time, money and energy levels that goes into chasing women (which i do enjoy) that sometimes it's just easier to go to an escort. Plus the fact that you can be with an absolutely beautiful woman that you wouldn't find on a night out, for the same price as taking her out, buying her dinner, filling her full of wine and booze, hours of shite talk, and if ur lucky u might get a dry hump on the first date and then u have to go and do it all over again!

Some are ,some arent. Me personally i can say that i am far happier and far more focused on the important things in my life when i dont call into escorts and i havnt in ages. This isnt to say i wouldnt enjoy myself but just to say my head is screwed on alot better and i feel more in control of my life when i dont visit escorts. This sint a dig at guys who arent like this or a dig at escorts i have seen.
