I think the tour dates are part of Elle's signature. I don't think Elle needs any extra promotion by resorting to what you suggest, as she is already a very popular and trusted member of the forum.

just to point out the tour dates at the end of Elle's post is her signature.
which appears at end of her posts on any thread not just this one.
so I dont think she is using this topic for publicity its just her signature!..

Elle don't listen to him, he's completely nuts and nobody else is agreeing with him (or would agree with him).

It might actually be good practice though that someone else is saying something so hateful, spiteful and complete nonsense and yet nobody pays attention to it because we are able to think for ourselves and don't get manipulated or upset by such strong inflammatory words so easily.
