Whether someone is committed or not has nothing to do with supposed "mental problems" that need to be "fixed" and everything to do with beurocracy, the policy of who to commit, the demographics, who they will be able to push the most drugs on etc.
To get someone committed you have to have either 1) A doctor or psychiatrist, 2) A member of the gardai or 3) A relative to sign the committal form.
Sometimes a person of some sort of influence can persuade a garda to sign someone in if they find this other person to be an annoyance to them for any reason. Which is obviously the most corrupt, criminal thing that ever happened.
Then the psychiatrists usually won't admit an actual dangerous person at all because 1) They're afraid of him 2) They're afraid of liability 3) They can say they need more funds or they can't deal with the type of person because they can't provide the "care" they need 4) For anyone else trying to bring a case against them for being locked up, it looks good for psychiatry to pretend that it's almost impossible to get someone locked up.
Psychiatry is a made-up thing as I've repeatedly said. They said I was schizophrenic, they locked me up and forced drugs on me. Saying someone has "schizophrenia" is simply namecalling, and people believe it because the doctor says it. Well the cat is out of the bag now, everyone from a certain type of background that they can prey on easily seems to have "schizophrenia" and it's all a big fucking joke.
