I totally agree, I saw him taking a big swig of guiness on Saturday: the joke was supposedly that he needed such a big amount of it because he'd seen something so shocking.... sooooo not funny. Then he called him a "strange man" and he said it in an insulting way.
The previous Saturday he came up to the guys of Ocean Colour Scene and said "hur, would I be right in guessing you're over 35 by now???" What kind of a stupid excuse for that is humour?! That is cringeworthy stuff, you wouldn't even get away with that in a normal social circumstance without everyone giving you weird looks. And don't even get me started on how hilarious and insane he thought the idea of going to Tescos and getting onions there at 2am was which he kept going back to with the guest that does the b&b show..... maybe some people find themselves in that situation sometimes and like that it's quiet at that time, it's not that strange.
He's a disgrace to Irish television (which is saying a lot!) and should be fecked off the air never to be seen or heard of again.
He should do that and nothing else....Originally Posted by Doozer

I wonder if Gay Byrne died how many people would still call him an asshole? Because he is an asshole and if he died he would still be an asshole.
Craig Doyle is even spoiling sport. He presents the champions league highlights programme. I have a feeling he'll be doing the World Cup. At least theres Dunphy and co
Help Keyla in her fight with cancer. Every little helps.

but it goes with the territory. When a person comes into the public eye they are open to the public view and opinion. Its part of the job. I love it when some of these ppl demand privacy from the media when they arent going to get it because of their position. The biggest hypocrites of all are those who come along and say its wrong to give an opinion on someone who was in the public eye ,when they die. These ppl are the hypocrites.
These so called celebrities are a joke. They try and live the high life but at the same time want to keep it private. They want to be controversial but only when it suits them. They want to say their thing but only when it suits them. The rest of the time ,they want privacy. Doesnt work that way ,im afraid.
Celebrities? What are we supposed to be celebrating in them?
Stupidity?
Westside.
I totally agree Westside, I would even go further and say that it doesn't matter whether the person is called public or private, they should be allowed to express opinions on so-called "private" citizens as well. Why censor things up? (I'm pretty sure all the celebrities secretly love every bit of attention they get anyway).
So long as it isn't slander they can write an editorial about me on the front page tomorrow and have a special magazine section pull-out if they want. I'd love to hear what they had to say, if it was something bad I would as well so I knew where I stood!!! If they are getting in someone's face then that person can sue them for harassment just like anyone else, because that's a physical thing. If someone's opinions hurt them "emotionally" or cause their careers to tumble then that's tough. Freedom of speech without slander or physically stopping someone from going about their business.... it's 2010 and a lot of people with power/influence still don't seem to get it.

JUSTICE FOR AMANDA KNOX AND RAFFAELE SOLLECITO----INNOCENTS
I love the way these threads unravel.
First Gerry Ryan dies and it's the disingenuous saps running to their computers with 'we'll miss you Gerry claptrap'.
Then Gerrys an arsehole - then Westies an arsehole - now it's Gay Byrne.
Next you'll be saying I'm an arsehole.
