Three spanish women admit operating Limerick brothel - Limerick Leader

THREE Spanish women have been told to leave the country after they pleaded guilty to operating a brothel at an apartment in Limerick city centre.
The women, who range in age from 20 to 39, appeared before a special sitting of Limerick District Court this Monday afternoon.

They are********** (20), Ross ********* (36) and Dule ***********(39).

Garda Vincent Block, Henry Street, said each of the women were arrested shortly after 8.30pm on Sunday when gardai raided the brothel at Sir Harry's Mall.

He said one man was in found in the premises at the time and he told the court that gardai seized a large number of sexual aids and costumes.

€770 in cash was also found as were eight mobile phones and a laptop computer.

Solicitor Darach McCarthy said each of the women came from poor backgrounds and he said they were engaged in prostitution to earn money for their families in Spain and in the Dominican Republic.

Judge Tom O'Donnell imposed three month jail sentences on each of the women which he suspended on condition they leave the country.

He ordered that €350 of the money seized at the brothel should be returned to the defendants to allow them pay for flights.
