He overate, smoked cigars, drank and on a newspaper a few years back he admitted doing coke. I mean ,seriously , it could be any moment if a guy goes on like that. No way the heart would put up with it.

I'd say the phoning in sick was a cover story. I'd say he just didn't turn up for work and couldn't be contacted so somebody probably went looking for him and then it was discovered.........

there is healty people that never drank or smoked and had a healty lifestyle going to the gym etc that has died of a heart attack it can happen to any one at any age gerry will be sadly missed on the radio in the mornings he was a gentleman you just never know i will miss him on the radio along with few more rest in peace gerry my thoughts are with your family xx
