Passenger ferry and take a train!
Passenger ferry and take a train!
Trying to do
Although commercial flights have been grounded, VFR flights have not - if you know someone who own a light aircraft they might be willing to fly you there for a hefty fee
Jesus lads Im a Mod not Richard f**kn Branson but thanks for the help.
Guarantee you'll have no probs on the train, matey. British rail system is waaaaayyy better than ours. It'll just take you longer.
They should be, but most ferries now arent taking footpassengers.
Cant take the car because i intend flying back afterwards after the dust settles
It would be an incredibly hefty fee I would say. The problem is that they can make the flight fine, but they gum up their engines and have to get serviced as soon as they land and that's big buckaroos. Dunno for a light aircraft, but on a 747 each engine costs €140,000 to remove and service..
Helicopters are less affected though because they fly lower and a much different engine design.
Anything's a dildo if you're brave enough.
