No, but my guess is that deep down you are panicked by her declaration of love and that is why you "solved" the problem by telling her you didn't want further contact. If you accept her feelings you will have to deal with your own - that's the scary part. When we realise how deeply we have touched someone it makes the situation very real. Women like this. Men panic.

Why not contact her and apologise. Say that you were trying to spare her feelings and didn't mean to hurt her (or something like that). And if you really felt a connection with her then there is every reason why you should do the distance thing, for a while at least. From what you have written I suspect that she might decide to come back here and spend more time with you. Even if that doesn't happen it is still worth your while staying in the game for a bit. You might just surprise yourself and have a wonderful relationship!
