Yes we help individual ladies sometimes and we are always generally cooperating with various other organisations etc about many issues relating to welfare of escorts, but when we read in a newspaper that a girl has been exploited, like in this case, we don't try to track her down and offer her some sort of compensation, because she may have been exploited by clients of this site (or she may have paid €250 to this site if her ad was in a name other that what I was asked to look for here). 99% of this sort of stuff never goes in the newspaper and thus people never ask about it, but in fact often when you see staff all really busy it is because something has come up, an important situation has come to our attention and suddenly staff are moved onto that instead of whatever else they were doing.

Thumbs down A Romanian brothel keeper has been given a week to leave Ireland in lieu of three yea

A Romanian brothel keeper has been given a week to leave Ireland in lieu of three years in jail.

Judge Patrick McCartan fined ***ai Selaru - who was a labourer on the Criminal Courts of Justice building site - €1,000 and suspended his sentence on condition he leaves Ireland and doesn’t return for ten years.

Judge McCartan said though some may not consider the sentence punishment “to any great extent”, Selaru’s record will be known to Romanian authorities and he will be barred from re-entering Ireland for a decade.

The judge added that he didn’t see why the Irish taxpayer should have to pay to keep Selaru (37) in jail.

Selaru, with an address at Gateway Crescent, Ballymun, pleaded guilty on day three of his Dublin Circuit Criminal Court trial to keeping a brothel on Liberty Square, Foley Street from September 3 to 11, 2009. He has no previous convictions here or in Romania.

I wasn't wound up. I just had trouble figuring out what you wanted. To be honest, I still do.

So we are releasing a man who enslaved a woman and threatened to starve her. And we are doing this to save money. Obviously the judge thinks that it's okay, as it's only foreign women at risk. This article made me physically sick.

“I wish you wouldn’t keep appearing and vanishing so suddenly; you make one quite giddy!”
“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.

Punters should use their gut instinct. I would hate to have visited a trafficked girl and done nothing about it . Some of the scumabags saw this poor girl cry and carried on as if everything was ok . I hope karma catches up with them

This is gotta be a stupid joke or there is something seriously wrong with this judge P**rick McCartan.

So how illegal it is to keep a brothel when people get away with it like this? This will only encourage pimps to do so.
Unfortunatelly the worst thing he did wasnt him keeping a brothel but the abuse he did to that woman and I cannot believe he got away with that too...

I agree, it is a joke.

Knowing Ireland's lax border controls and immigration laws he'll probably be back again before the weekend is over....

The problem isn't whether he is in Ireland or not, it's that he isn't locked up. Whatever the judge may say, I would personally be very happy to see my taxes being used to keep this individual in prison.

You bet! We should really move to an American style system where prisoners are made work making products that are sold for profit. It's illegal to import any items into the States that are made in prison.
Of course, I don't agree with how much the States have commercialised it as this makes it in their interests to imprison people for the slightest misdemeanour, hence the ridiculous 3 strikes law..
    Anything's a dildo if you're brave enough.
