Zithromax is a broad spectrum antibiotic that is used for a variety of infections including respiratory tract infections i.e. not just for stds. There are also many genital bacterial infections that one can get that are not sexually trasmitted (often just due to poor hygeine). You might be able to pull off telling her that you've got a bacterial penile infection and use that as an excuse for her to take Zithromax. Unfortunately most other genital bacterial infections are treated with other antibiotics, generally not Zithromax. So if she bothers to question or look it up she will probably put two and two together. I wouldn't try saying you've got trush/candida as most women know full well what this is - its a fungal infection and therefore not treated with Zithromax.
I don't envy you Happy (or not so happy) but you obviously have to ensure your wife gets treated. The effects of chlamydia infection are far more serious and damaging in women. Thankfully its fully treatable when caught early.
I am a little surprised you got it from OWO. Its certainly recognised that it can be transmitted orally but to a much lesser extent that with unprotected vaginal/anal sex. I suspect you may have got it from contact with vaginal secretions. Either way get yourself and your wife treated and get regularly checked in the future.

Many people seem to advice that he should just lie about why his wife should take the antibiotics.
This leaves 2 questions:
Which wife would be so stupid to take antibiotics, just because her husband told her so, without having consulted her GP?
Which GP would prescribe antibiotics for the wife without having seen her first (and obviously told her why to take the antibiotics)?
I don't think explaining the fact that it's zithromax is the main problem, really. The problem would be explaining why you are giving her a prescription medication rather than telling her to get checked by her doctor. I don't see a way to make that sound normal. There is another issue as well. Really the two of you should be treated and then tested, to see if the treatment worked. If you do work out some clandestine way to give her zithromax then she won't be tested. Probably the treatment would work, but you won't know. Also, be aware that zithromax can have side effects, although they usually aren't too severe.

“All right,” said the Cat; and this time it vanished quite slowly, beginning with the end of the tail, and ending with the grin, which remained some time after the rest of it had gone.
I'm sorry to hear this. But..Please don't even consider medicating your wife without her knowledge. It's a dangerous thing to do.
Good luck x
I havent offered OWO in over a year. The risks are ones I am not prepared to take, not for any price. For some reason I usually get jumped on by the OWO happy girls when I bring up the safety issues and the amount of differing knowledge on it is frightening - but I was pleased to see the guys having a discussion about the safety of OWO on here a while ago. If it's getting through to at least a few then it's worth my nagging about it! x
