So I have been a long time (as in years) forum lurker but this is the first time I have been motivated to make a post.

I have read on here recently of a few incidents involving anti-social behavior. Intimidation, threats, etc. In previous years you'd hardly ever read about such incidents, maybe a only a few a year. So, in your opinion are anti-social incidents on the rise or is this just an inaccurate perception? If anti-social incidents are indeed on the rise then what's the cause? Joblessness due to the recession?

Most importantly: What can we do individually to counteract this perception, justified or not, in any case?
